Missed it by, "that much."

Ewwww... A word to the wise: Never order the "tuna melt," from Indigo Joe's in Colorado Springs. About an hour of dry-heaving-cleaning later... I think it would have been easier to buy a new house than clean up the mess... but not in this market. Sad, but someday, those dollar bills will be worth less than a two-ply sheet of toilet paper... and it will be intentional. How else will the U.S. pay off nearly eleven trillion dollars in debt without becoming a globally-belligerent empire? Oh wait, something tells me that there are crazy people who intend to do both, or at least they did... and that's why we are in the mess we are. Down the toilet. Maybe we could call (not Indigo) Joe the Plumber to help us out?

W

It is a well done biopic as these things go; but unlike JFK and Born on the Forth of July, Oliver Stone's latest film, "W" felt like one long running sub-par high school drama; politically correct, devoid of real grit and anger, and only selectively cherry-picking dialogue that nearly every semi-conscious American is already familiar with (even though the settings of several of the comments differed from reality). I have to admit I did enjoy the pleasure of seeing Condi Rice being portrayed as an over the top vacuous sycophant, which I've read isn't that "untrue," but I think she couldn't have been that bad, and that was sadly, some of the best comic relief. Brolin's George Dubya was brilliant however, so well done, that, believe it or not, he came off as sympathetic. Bush haters are going to hate it, and Bush lovers (are there many left?) will probably come away relieved. Almost as if the last 8 long years were somehow, divinely out of his cont

WTF?

Okay, I admit this picture isn't fair. It's a "frame grab*" or photo of after Senator McCain realized he was leaving the stage the wrong way and made a gesture of "oops" we all have at one time or another. But it is; however, emblematic, of the starkly obvious choice that Obama represents the "new," and hope for at least a moderate improvement in national politics and the over all performance of government that has been ridiculously abysmal. No guarantees in politics, but neither are there in life. And why does the so called liberal media act as if a registered Ohio Republican plumber named, "Joe" thinks as if he really is "undecided?" Considering upon being interviewed today, he sounds like Karl Rove has his hand up his butt and grabbing his brain stem, reciting anti-social security rhetoric and so on... so, I remain skeptical ( lol ). When politicians or anyone for that matter starts you thinking, "what do you take me for

Endangered Signs.

I finally got my Obama yard sign (probably sent by slow-boat from China), and put it up in my front yard. I placed it near the front door so my surveillance camera can keep an eye on it. Sad, huh? Apparently, according to fellow Obama supporters, theft and vandalism of Obama signs is common. Not that there aren't pro-Obama teenagers with nothing to do and are trashing pro-McCain houses. But since, I am only one of two (out of 100) houses in my neighborhood with Obama yard signs... you get the idea. Oh yeah, ... my bumper sticker has already received a blow from some jerkoff's foot. That's okay, I am hoping some anti-Obama supporter goes all out and rear-ends my car so I can get a whole new bumper. LOL ! No, not really, but I had to joke about it, so I don't get paranoid. :)

The Last Lynching

Just finished watching this poignant and painful documentary ... We, the civilized and thoughtful among us, hope and pray, that murder because of race is behind us... we wish that the overt and condoned behavior of racially-motivated torture and killing is gone, but the ghosts and the fear still lives. It was utterly infuriating to watch "The Last Lynching," because it isn't "ancient history." Not even two generations ago, practically yesterday. The ignorant defenders of such violence hide their craven murderous cowardice behind the claim they are "fighting for our race." Our "race" is the human race, not some narrow set of appearance, and culture. Simply put, what they did and are doing is killing innocent people for fear of losing a perceived stature of inherent superiority. Such hate and evil is driven by the most craven of inferiority complex; a hiding of insecurity and intellectual laziness behind bravado and utterly unearned sense of en

Sidwalk to Nowhere

And these are the "relatively speaking," sane Obama-haters... I have a bad feeling that the Secret Service is going to have to outsource it's call centers to India to keep up with the volume of threats Obama is going to receive over the next three weeks. Yeesh .

The Shadow Factory...

For you Constitution lovers (e.g. Patriots) ... kiss the 4 th Amendment goodbye. No, really. Actually, it is too late, it's already gone. Don't believe me? Watch this. Only those who willfully suspend skepticism for private gain, or out of fear, or hatred of those who question authority, or worse, just stupidly trusted the Bush Administration despite overwhelming evidence that such trust was and continues to be unwarranted , believe(d) that the "spying power," would not be abused.
